How to get started with Portage
Welcome to Portage, the strategy design platform built to help you craft winning strategies with ease and precision. This guide will help you get started and cover the most important features.
If you have not already purchased a subscription, you will need to visit the Pricing page to first select a plan, and then proceed through the payment process.
You are signed into Portage as part of the subscription process, so you can skip to the next step.
If you already have a plan, but not signed in yet, you first need to sign in to continue.
This is one of the most important steps to get the most out of Portage. The quality of information provided in your profile will help the platform better understand your situation and challenges, and therefore provide you with more targeted and actionable advice.
For a thorough walkthrough please see the Creating your Organisational Profile page.
Head over to the Foresight Trends page where you can search and filter to find trends that might be impactful to your organisation.
Type keywords or concepts into the search bar and click the Search button. Portage uses a smart search algorithm that searches by both keywords and the conceptual meaning of your query. For example, searching for "Green technologies" will also return results for "Renewables".
You can also click the category filters to refine the list of trends to specific categories.
Portage has a full-featured AI Chat Assistant that has been finely tuned for strategic conversations. This chat agent will use your Strategic Profile and the Trends to help you discover insights and overcome specific challenges facing your organisation.
You can start a chat with your own prompt or select one from the library of over 50 hand crafted prompts that cover a range of strategic topics.
Head over to the Strategy Boards and create your first Board. There are detailed walkthroughs that are highly recommended to follow in order to maximise your use of this feature.
